First win for Mizuki
Wednesday, 07 April 2010
The start of the second season for Wildkart in Japan couldn't get any better. Team SPS, our partner in Japan, made a real brakethrough with the entry of three young drivers in the National Championship. At the end it was Mizuki Ishizaka who scored his maiden win for Wildkart in the Land of the rising Sun.

Altough Wildkart has entered the market in Japan last year, the start of its second season was more than perfect. At the opening round of the National Championship our partner in Japan, Team SPS, has made a real brakethrough. With two drivers entry made in the IAME Parilla X30 Championship and a young driver in All Japan Yamaha Junior Category the Italian based kart and components factory was well represented on the starting grid.

Mizuki Ishizaka scored his maiden win for Wildkart in the IAME Parilla X30 Regional Championship. He scored a perfect 2nd position on qualifying practice, which was a good starting position for the heats, where he moved a place higher to 1st. In the final run he took the lead and never gave an opportunity to other drivers to catch up, at the end easily won the race.

Team SPS had another weapon at their disposal in the IAME Parilla X30 Category. Takuma Saito was looking forward to a perfect result after free practice, but he had some bad luck on raceday. After qualifying on 12th on the grid, he was desperately trying to recover in the prefinal what resulted in a crash. After starting from the back of the grid in the final run, Saito managed to recover and ad the end he saw the checkered flag on 13th position.

Youngest driver of the team competed the All Japan Yamaha Junior Category. After qualifying practice he started from 21st position. In the prefinal he managed to 18th position, but he made a real brakethrough in the final run, where he came 8th.

This was the first win of the season for Wildkart in Japan. With amazing speed shown by Mizuki Ishizaka the Italian brand is high on hopes for the rest of the season.
